Geza Gordon Marich

Born in Hungary in 1913, he studied art at Budapest and immigrate to Canada, more precisely in Montreal in 1957. He died in 1985 but some people say he died in 1975.

MARICH was a very charming guy, beloved for his art and company. He painted different kind of works including landscapes of downtown Montreal, Quebec and Trois-Rivières. He also realized great marine canvas. By far, he is renowned by collectors for his numerous fall landscape scenes, like the one we are offering to you. His paintings are exposed at the Museum of Fine Arts of Budapest (Szépművészeti Múzeum), in some galleries in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal and in private collections across the country and the world. By the end of his career, his works evolved through abstraction and became half abstract and half figurative. They were mostly done using a knife.
